New Inn GP Surgery – practice closure

Since going to print Burpham Pages have been notified that the situation with New Inn Surgery has unfortunately changed again, please see their press release below or visit:

Sadly the recent attempts to resolve the premises issue of New Inn Surgery have not resulted in a positive outcome.

It has been agreed between the Practice and the CGG that the closure process cannot be reversed, as the future of the practice at London Road premises cannot be assured.

New Inn Surgery will proceed to close on 22nd November 2019.

All patients should refer to the letter they received from the CCG in September and should re-register at an alternative GP Practice, as soon as possible.

New Inn will be changing its appointment system and you should be aware that advanced pre-bookable appointments will no longer be available. Instead a limited number of book on the day appointments will be available.

We urge patients to re-register as soon as possible. If you do not, then after 22nd November you will be left without a GP and unable to see a doctor. You need to be registered with a GP before you can make an appointment at any GP practice. Please refer to the letter you received from the CCG which outlines the process required and list of practices to consider.

The CCG is holding drop in sessions to help patients complete the re-registering process. If you would like help or to know more about your choices please come along to these sessions which are taking place at New Inn Surgery on:

  • Tuesday 5th November @ 16:00 to 19:00
  • Wednesday 6th November @ 9:00 to 12:00

We are so sorry that the practice is closing but every effort has been made by all parties to find a solution.

Thank you for your support and understanding.
