Burpham Primary School – Spring 2025

The spring term at Burpham Primary School has been a busy one. Our children have been out and about in all weathers, taking advantage of our extensive grounds and our wildlife area, both in their lessons and at playtime.
You may well have spotted a Viking, a pop star or even Fantastic Mr Fox roaming the streets of Burpham; we’ve had World War II day, a Stone Age day, a Viking Day, a Maths morning and Roald Dahl Day to bring the various year groups’ learning to life. As well as poetry and art workshops, many of our children have also participated in sporting events with tournaments in dodgeball, netball, football and hockey, and a cross-country meet on top of their usual lessons.
We are eagerly awaiting admissions data from Surrey about the children who will be joining us in September.
We are so lucky to be supported by our amazing PSA (Parent Staff Association) who hosted a Rockstars and Popstars disco and ran an Easter Chocolate Bingo; they have donated money raised to buy books and subscriptions to support our aim of Reading for Pleasure at all ages.

We are eagerly awaiting admissions data from Surrey about the children who will be joining us in September. Our places are in high demand but we do keep a waiting list and as families’ plans change, there is often movement between now and the start of the next academic year. If you would like your child to join our Reception class in September, even if they have been offered a space elsewhere, please do call or email the school on 01483 572510 or office@burpham.surrey.sch.uk for a tour and a chat with a member of our Senior Leadership Team.
